Tonight’s recipe is a good one for breakfast. It is also one that does not take long to prepare.
To make this recipe you will need the following:
- 2 cups of flour
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1/2 tsp of ginger
- 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1/2 tsp of baking soda
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of puréed pumpkin (to make your own roast pumpkin at 350 until soft and scrapes off the skin, then purée in a blender)
- 1 tsp of vanilla
Mix all of the dry ingredients until crumbly. Add milk, pumpkin and vanilla.
Knead a few times and add flour so you can put the dough in 2-3 inch circle. Divide into 6 pieces.
Place the pieces on a baking sheet and bake at 400 for 20-30 minutes.
