A few months ago I came across a recipe for black bean brownies in a Runner’s World magazine. I mentioned it to my wife because I thought it might be a recipe worth trying. How can you go wrong with a healthier version of a snack most of us enjoy that is full of nutrients runners look for to recover from long runs?
Recently my wife came across the following recipe and decided to make a batch. From a nutrition standpoint they have more protein, fibre, iron, magnesium. They also have less fat and sugar than regular brownies.
Most importantly, as far as I am concerned, they taste just as good as regular brownies. This is a recipe I can see keeping in our rotation!
