Nutrition for Runners: Ground Turkey Tacos

Tonight’s recipe is one we used this week. In order to make our tacos healthier we used ground turkey instead of ground beef. If you have the ingredients at home it won’t take long at all. You’ll be ready to go as soon as the meat is cooked.

The meat was seasoned with spices we had at home using the following recipe. For those of you with young children at home it wasn’t too spicy for our three year-old. She loved it.

Once the meat is ready use corn or whole wheat tortillas and them with the toppings of your choice. We added cheese, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and guacamole.
