I have reached the halfway point of my training! Week 8 of my 16 week training program will come to an end after tomorrow’s run.
Week 8 has been another solid week of training. This week called for 54 miles, 86 km. With one run left to go my weekly mileage currently sits at 68 km. Seeing as how I will likely get in 12-13 km tomorrow I will probably fall 5-6 km short of my goal for this week.
However, I feel like it has still been a solid week of training. Sunday I started off the week pacing the Army Run half-marathon followed by a 7 km run in the evening.
Tuesday I completed 9 hill repeats and yesterday I was able to fit in a good tempo run. In both cases I had to cut my run short by 2-3 km due to time constraints which explains the difference in mileage this week.
Tomorrow I will head for an easy 12-13 km run. When week 9 starts on Sunday I will have approximately 663 km, 412 miles, left before I hit the streets of Philadelphia in November.
