Saturday Running Routine

Over the past year I have developed a regular routine for my Saturday morning runs. I load my daughter into her Chariot and head out for a run. On our way home we stop at the farmer’s market to stock up on produce we don’t grow in our backyard, eggs and even meat.

As you can see from the picture above, our Chariot stroller can hold quite a bit in the rear pocket. That picture does not even do justice to what we were able to bring home yesterday. Here is a shot of everything out together on the patio table:

After 11 km of running we stopped at the market and ended up picking up eggs, peaches, apricots, plums, blueberries, cookies and a loaf of bread.

This has become a regular part of Saturday morning runs from spring to fall and has become a great way to stock up on supplies we need for the week while I am out for a run.

It also helps that my daughter loves stopping at the farmer’s market, especially when she gets free samples from some of the vendors!
