If you have followed the news this week you undoubtedly heard of the devaastating earthquake that hit Christchurch New Zealand on February 22.
So far the earthquake have been at least 113 fatalities with over 200 people still missing.
This morning I discovered that a virtual run is taking place on the 12th and 13th of March. The race is part of an effort to raise money for relief efforts with donations going to the New Zealand Red Cross.
If you want to participate you the suggested amount is $1 per km you intend to run on the 12th or 13th. When you go for your run on the 12th or 13th run organizers are asking runners to wear red and black. Once you finish your run don’t forget to send a link to your run report here.
As for myself, my wife and I will be participating in a 10 km St Patrick’s Day race on the 12th and I have a 24 km slow run scheduled for the 13th.
